About The Behaviorists
Big-Practice Quality. Boutique-Practice Care.
We established The Behaviorists with the belief that families deserve personalized attention and care that goes beyond just being another number in a large clinic’s caseload. We understand that each family’s journey is unique, and we are committed to providing tailored support that caters to their specific needs and challenges. Our goal is to foster meaningful relationships and deliver the highest quality of service, ensuring that every individual feels valued and supported throughout their experience with us.
Experts Who Care
A Structured Team Built Around Your Child
Every child at The Behaviorists receives dedicated 1:1 care, supported by a tiered clinical team designed to maximize progress and accountability. Unlike large-clinic models where staff changes are frequent and supervision is stretched thin, we keep caseloads manageable so every child gets genuine attention.
Your child's direct care provider. The RBT works with your child during every session, implementing the treatment plan developed by the BCBA.
The clinical lead. Your BCBA designs the treatment plan, monitors progress weekly, conducts supervisory visits, and adjusts goals as your child grows.

We'll Walk You Through the Process
1. Contact Us
Submit a request through our website. Within 1 business day, our team will email you intake forms.
2. Intake & Benefits Review
Once your forms are received, we will verify your benefits, if applicable, and schedule an intake call to learn more about your child, answer your questions, and explain what ABA services may look like. During this step, we will also review any documents received and request any additional documents needed for insurance authorization.
3. Assessment Authorization
We will request authorization from your insurance company for an initial assessment. This typically takes 7-21 business days.
4. Initial Assessment
After approval, a BCBA will schedule an assessment with your family. The evaluation typically takes place over 1–3 sessions in your home or your child’s school, depending on your family’s needs.
5. Treatment Plan and Insurance Authorization
Following the assessment, your BCBA will develop an individualized treatment plan tailored to your child’s unique needs and goals. After reviewing the plan with you, we will submit it to your insurance company along with a request to begin ABA services. Insurance approval and authorization for ongoing therapy are typically received within 7–21 business days.
6. Scheduling & Team Assignment
While we wait for approval, our team will work with you to create a schedule based on your child’s availability, recommended hours, and staffing fit.
7. Starting Services
The first sessions focus on building comfort, trust, and connection. Our team gets to know your child through play, communication, and preferred activities while the BCBA supervises the program.

Testimonials
Stories of Progress, Growth, and Transformation
The Behaviorists have helped my child integrate in being able to accept changes and when something is not available. He is overall a happier more regulated child
Changes in his behavior have helped him advance tremendously in his academics (where he was most struggling bc of his difficulties maintaining his focus/attention). They have also helped him improve his social skills and create more meaningful relationships with his peers.
His RBT doesn't give up on him and maintains goals and continues to push him. Very thankful for the team
Camille and Emely are absolutely amazing! They advocate for Jordan’s needs while at the same time promoting his independence. Teaching him skills he can implement while on his own have helped him advance academically and socially.
