School-Based
We collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and school support teams to ensure that our methods are consistent.
Trusted Care That Makes a Difference
Bringing Expert Behavioral Support Directly into the Classroom
School is one of the most important environments for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Navigating a classroom, managing transitions, responding to a teacher’s instructions, interacting with peers, and tolerating the sensory demands of a school day all require skills that many children with ASD are still developing.
The Behaviorists offer school-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services that provide expert behavioral support directly in your child’s educational setting. Instead of teaching skills in a clinic and hoping they transfer to the classroom, we work with your child in the exact environment where those skills are needed.
Expert Care at The Behaviorists
How School-Based ABA Works
Our school-based services utilize a 1:1 model, which is the foundation of all our programs. A trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work directly with your child throughout the school day, following a personalized treatment plan that is developed and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
We collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and school support teams to ensure that our methods are consistent, complementary, and aligned with your child’s educational goals. Our role is to support the school team, not to replace it.

Our ABA Therapy Program
Collaboration with the School Team
Effective school-based services don’t happen in a silo. Our BCBAs will communicate regularly with your child’s teachers, IEP team, and other specialists to ensure that behavioral goals are aligned with educational goals and that everyone working with your child is using consistent strategies.
We can also attend IEP meetings upon request, provide data and progress reports that support the school’s planning process, and offer staff training or consultation when appropriate.

The Bridge Between School and Home
One of the most common frustrations parents and teachers share is the disconnect between how a child behaves at school versus at home. Skills learned in one setting often don’t automatically transfer to another, a well-documented phenomenon in behavioral science known as the generalization problem.
By providing services in both settings, The Behaviorists helps bridge that gap. Your child’s BCBA oversees a unified treatment plan that addresses the same core skills across home, school, and community, increasing the likelihood that progress in one setting carries over to others.

Accessing School-Based Services
School-based ABA services may be accessed through private insurance, as part of an Individualized Education Program (IEP), or through private pay. We will work with your family to clarify coverage, coordinate with the school district when needed, and navigate any administrative steps required to get services in place.
If your child currently has an IEP or 504 plan, our team is experienced in working within those frameworks and advocating for the level of support your child needs to access their education fully.
Your child deserves care that's built around them
Getting Started
If you are interested in school-based ABA services for your child, we encourage you to reach out to us before the school year begins if possible. This allows us ample time to complete the intake process, coordinate with the school, and ensure that services are authorized and ready to go from day one.
We welcome inquiries at any time during the year and are committed to onboarding new families as quickly as possible.

Stories of Progress, Growth, and Transformation
The Behaviorists have helped my child integrate in being able to accept changes and when something is not available. He is overall a happier more regulated child
Changes in his behavior have helped him advance tremendously in his academics (where he was most struggling bc of his difficulties maintaining his focus/attention). They have also helped him improve his social skills and create more meaningful relationships with his peers.
His RBT doesn't give up on him and maintains goals and continues to push him. Very thankful for the team
Camille and Emely are absolutely amazing! They advocate for Jordan’s needs while at the same time promoting his independence. Teaching him skills he can implement while on his own have helped him advance academically and socially.
