High-Quality ABA Therapy in Early Years
The early years of a child’s life are a critical time for brain development. During this period, neural connections are forming rapidly, and children are especially ready to learn language, social skills, and adaptive behaviors. For children with autism spectrum disorder, starting targeted therapy during this time can create a significant impact, not only in the short term but throughout their lives.
Research over the decades consistently shows that children who receive intensive, high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy in their early years achieve greater improvements in communication, social skills, cognitive abilities, and independence compared to those who begin therapy later. At The Behaviorists, we prioritize early intervention, not just as a service, but as a fundamental aspect of our approach.

What Early Intervention Looks Like
Early intervention ABA therapy at The Behaviorists is specially designed for young children, typically toddlers and preschoolers, who have received an ASD diagnosis or are showing early signs of developmental differences. Our programs are highly individualized, intensive, and focused on building foundational skills that are essential for further development.
Recognizing that young children learn best in familiar and comfortable environments, we provide early intervention services in various settings: at home, in preschool or daycare, and in community environments, wherever your child spends their time. Our sessions are play-based and naturalistic, meaning therapy is integrated into everyday activities rather than being delivered in isolation.

Acting Quickly After a Diagnosis
One of the most important things a parent can do after receiving an ASD diagnosis is to begin the process of accessing services quickly. Waitlists for ABA therapy can be long, and every month of delay is a month of intervention that doesn’t happen during a critical window.
If your child has recently been diagnosed, or if you are in the process of seeking a diagnosis and have concerns, please reach out to us right away. We will do everything we can to move your family through our intake process efficiently and get your child started as soon as possible.
For families who have not yet received a formal diagnosis but have concerns, we also offer ASD diagnostic services. Getting an evaluation and beginning therapy through the same provider allows for a seamless, coordinated start to treatment.

The Role of Parents in Early Intervention
Parents and caregivers are not bystanders in early intervention, they are essential partners. The hours your child spends with a therapist are meaningful, but the hours they spend with you are even more so. Our team will work closely with you to share strategies, explain the principles behind your child’s program, and help you confidently support their development throughout the day.
We believe that when families are empowered and involved, children make faster and more durable progress. Caregiver coaching is built into every early intervention program we provide.

Testimonials
Stories of Progress, Growth, and Transformation
The Behaviorists have helped my child integrate in being able to accept changes and when something is not available. He is overall a happier more regulated child
Changes in his behavior have helped him advance tremendously in his academics (where he was most struggling bc of his difficulties maintaining his focus/attention). They have also helped him improve his social skills and create more meaningful relationships with his peers.
His RBT doesn't give up on him and maintains goals and continues to push him. Very thankful for the team
Camille and Emely are absolutely amazing! They advocate for Jordan’s needs while at the same time promoting his independence. Teaching him skills he can implement while on his own have helped him advance academically and socially.
